Privacy Policy
LinearInsights (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the LinearInsights service. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. Data we collect
Account information
When you connect via Linear OAuth, we receive and store your Linear account email address, display name, and profile avatar. We do not receive or store your Linear password.
Linear workspace data
With your explicit authorisation, we fetch issues, cycle (sprint) data, and team information from your Linear workspace using a read-only OAuth token. We store this data in our database to power the analytics dashboards. We never write to, modify, or delete anything in your Linear workspace.
Billing information
If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — we never see or store your card number or payment details.
Usage and session data
We store session cookies required for authentication. We do not run third-party analytics trackers or advertising pixels.
2. How we use your data
- To authenticate you and maintain your session.
- To sync your Linear workspace data and compute analytics metrics.
- To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. billing receipts). We do not send marketing emails without your opt-in.
3. Third-party services
We use the following sub-processors. Each has its own privacy policy and data processing terms.
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored in the EU (West) region by default.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified.
- Vercel — application hosting and edge network.
- Linear — source of your workspace data via OAuth.
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary session cookies to keep you signed in. These cookies are set by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are required for the service to function. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data and synced Linear data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including synced issues, connection tokens, and profile information — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Billing records may be retained longer where required by law.
6. Data security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Linear OAuth tokens are stored in an encrypted database with row-level security policies ensuring each user can only access their own data. We follow security best practices and review them regularly.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Revoke Linear OAuth access at any time from your Linear account settings — this does not delete your account but stops future syncs.

8. Children
LinearInsights is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
